A commission to design and manufacture an 8m-long public artwork to front a new arts building in an ancient educational setting in Ipswich. The idea follows the town’s timeline in accurate graphic form leaving voids that create huge letterforms. About
My work consists of thoughtful visual imagery used in a wide range of settings, extending out far beyond traditional illustration into exhibition graphics, public art, historical visual consultancy, and book arts and manufacture.
In addition, my wider areas of professional design interest range across the visual spectrum from drawing and printmaking to children's books via digital domains, artesan design and print ephemera, information graphics, visual systems and the history of visual culture. My graphic ideology is collaborative and does not accept constraints or boundaries to the situating of design as a practice.
I am committed to design pedagogy and currently lead the BA (Hons) Graphic Design course at Ravensbourne University London – follow our BA course here: @rv_grphcdsgn
